The doctrine
Six rules we price by.
The rate is the price
Everything time-based bills by the hour, from create to delete. We publish that rate, because a month is however many hours it has — so any monthly figure we show says which month it assumed.
Metered only where our cost is
Storage, bandwidth and sends meter, because they genuinely scale our cost. Nothing else does.
A cap, an alert, a €0 opt-out
Every metered dimension carries a cap you set, an alert before it, and an opt-out that guarantees a zero bill.
No node tax
We never bill per worker node or per vCPU you already own. Bring all the hardware you like.
No per-seat tax
On-call is per org. Add the whole team; the price does not move. Monitoring is unlimited users.

Control Plane
You pay per control-plane replica, by the hour, from the moment a cluster is created to the moment it is deleted. Each size is exactly double the last, so the price tracks the cost — and node counts are guidance, never a hard cap.

What a month actually costs
A cluster accrues from the moment it is created to the moment it is deleted, so you pay for the hours it ran and deleting one stops the charge immediately. That also means a month costs whatever hours it has — the figures above convert at 730, the average month.
A Medium with three replicas is
€0.019178 × 3 = €0.057534 an hour:
€42.00 over a 730-hour month, €42.81 in a 31-day
month, €38.66 in February. Your invoice always shows the hours it
counted.
